The system was architected around tenant data isolation from the first day. A pooled storage model with per-tenant scoping keeps operational cost low while a strict tenant-context layer ensures no query can ever cross tenant boundaries. This gave every customer the safety of isolation without the overhead of managing separate databases.

Dashboards were designed as a flexible reporting surface rather than a fixed set of charts. Users compose widgets from a shared metric library, apply filters, and save views, while an access-control layer determines exactly which metrics and dimensions each role can see.

The ingestion pipeline was built to handle real-time events without blocking the dashboard. A queue decouples event intake from aggregation, and carefully chosen indexes keep dashboards responsive as data volumes grow, with caching applied only where staleness is acceptable.
